Drone Creation - immediate issues

Ive begun to make the drone ai, and i have found a free simple model online that i will be using in this game.

Upon downloading the model, i found that it was imported to unreal engine in 3 different pieces, needing me to put them together somehow.

I found a way to merge these static meshes really easily, you simply put the 3 meshes into the simulation, and at the top select actor. then all you have to do is, while selecting the meshes that you want to use, click on the 'convert actors to static mesh' button, this will then give you a prompt to save it in a new location, then you have made a single static mesh of something.

this would have been really helpful in my group project, where some of the models we used had a lot of different parts, and we found it hard to put them together in the game.

Bug Fixes for the Demo

Hi, everyone! Thanks to all who played the latest update with Part 1 of Chapter 2 today. I loved hearing your thoughts :) I'll start posting asks that have real spoilers on Sunday with the tag "ch2 spoilers".

In the meantime, I fixed the following bugs and just pushed the update for errors which I think are the majority of them. If there are any left, they should be minor!

Fixed some coding where the / was missing and caused issues.

Fixed a persistent bug where it refers to MC as “Their/They/Them" regardless of pronouns. (Pronouns are rarely used but I finally realized what wasn’t working so they should be correct moving forward.)

A couple minor typo errors.

A couple instances where the beginning of a sentence wasn’t capitalized, particularly when speaking to F in the library.

Lions named Kitty were accidentally called Ripper a couple times.

If you have time and want to share your thoughts, I would love to hear them. Whether they be positive/critical! After all, this is a WIP. I'm fine with hearing what choices you'd like to see as well. I do plan on polishing the game up after it's all said and done, so I keep a list of possibilities for future updates.

Unreal engine - issues and fixes

I ran into and issue while testing out my code, the value of stamina is ticking down like it should, but when you let go of the shift key it will keep ticking down, I should be able to fix this with a simple Boolean added to the code.

I created a variable called is running, and set it as a Boolean, which can only be true of fasle

Then we add 4 nodes, shown below

The pressed and release will dictate whether is running is true, and the branch at the end is going to break the loop if the condition, that being is running, is set to true of false. This fixes my issue with the code counting down after you press shift, only going down while you are sprinting

A small bug report: in the Platonic F route, while the siblings argue, MC's options on how to stop them do not appear. I chose M!F if it helps.

EDIT: I figured it out and pushed a fix haha literally right after I posted this

Hmm. I've done some digging and I can't find this. Are you referring to the fight at the ball? I thought I changed it so that if you go to the ex-bff route, they don't fight. It's been a while so I can't remember ha. I'm thinking I must have missed something when I did this. I'll keep trying to figure it out. Sorry, Anon :(

Tho it would never happen, have u ever doodled how Scarlet Lady would look like if she had got a upgrade form? If yes, could u show us? (No pressure if not)

Surprisingly, you're not the first person to ask me about this lol. At first I wanted to put my foot down that you only get these power-upgrades if you're using the Miraculous for Good (maybe you'd even lose a power if you start using it for Evil). As is, the Miraculouses don't have any backlash if you misuse them UNLESS YOU'RE A CHILD, which I hate.

But let's be real, Shadowmoth proved that's bullshit with his I-Can-Do-Anything-Better-Than-You-Can Mega Akuma that can instantly defeat Ladybug's Lucky Charm upgrade, so sure. Even Chloe can get an upgrade if she just FEELS hard enough.
